The battery box is equipped with a built-in 40A DC-DC charger designed to efficiently manage solar and alternator power inputs for charging auxiliary (house) battery systems. With a preference for solar power when available, the system minimizes loads on your engine. Automatic ignition detection isolates the starting battery when the engine is off, safeguarding it from discharge.
Featuring fully automatic operation, the microprocessor-controlled circuit offers six charging modes: Qualification, Recondition, Bulk, Absorption, Check, and Maintenance. Encased in a heavy-duty aluminum housing with a mounting bracket, the charger's front panel includes charge status LEDs and a push-button for battery type selection (Lead-acid, AGM, Calcium, GEL, or LiFePO4), ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Additionally, the box is fitted with an integrated 1000W pure sine wave inverter capable of efficiently powering everyday appliances such as coffee machines, speakers, fridges, microwaves, and CPAP machines. The inverter features large built-in fans to maintain cool operation and a soft-start function for quiet operation during startup. With low interference technology, it provides a clean and powerful AC source, minimizing signal interference common with TVs, audio systems, and radio equipment. Achieving ≥90% conversion efficiency, it maximizes energy utilization from the battery.
Furthermore, the box comes with pre-wired Anderson, USB, and cigarette sockets, catering to various power needs for outdoor recreation. Equipped with carry handles, it accommodates a deep-cycle battery up to 150Ah (sold separately), secured in place with a webbing strap. High-current power connectors include two 50A Anderson plugs, insulated bolt terminals (wing nut), and a 12V cigarette lighter socket with overcurrent protection. Dual-port USB facilitates charging smartphones and other USB devices, while a voltmeter aids in monitoring battery levels.
